Artist Statement

Through mixed-media sculpture and functional pottery, I explore the nuanced layers of human existence and my relationship with identity, grief, and nature.

Each piece I create is a narrative, a visual story that speaks to the complexities of being. I draw inspiration from personal experiences, inviting viewers to contemplate their own journeys through the lens of my work. Whether it's a mixed-media sculpture embodying the struggle of loss or a functional vessel adorned with symbols of resilience, my art serves as a mirror reflecting the multifaceted aspects of the human condition.

Through the stark contrast of black and white inlay carving, I aim to capture the essence of emotion and the duality of existence. It is my hope that my art not only resonates with viewers on a visceral level but also prompts introspection and dialogue about the universal themes that unite us all.
